Ensphered  by Kay Tang

「Ensphered 圍影 」is a culmination of her personal designs in the last few years, presented as animated holographic projections encased in glass. The designs are mostly from a fantasy world she has created, where giants and humans live together- everything in this world accommodates their differences in size. This world is largely inspired by Kay's memories of Hong Kong as a child and her mixed cultural background.

Exhibition by Orit Freilich

In August 2025, Orit Freilich( @freilichorit ), a fashion designer from Israel and lecturer at Shenkar ( @shenkar_college ).

During her 3-week stay, she experimented with combining tatami and silicone, creating truly unique works.

Her theme was “Sanpō-yoshi” (good for seller, buyer, and society).

With her own perspective, she turned this into one-of-a-kind pieces.

She also collaborated with local calligrapher Yoshiko Nishimura( @suminokaori2469 ), which surely brought new discoveries for her as well.

During her one month stay, she brought her signature cute and slightly surreal characters, reminiscent of Japan’s beloved Kewpie dolls, to life on tatami.

Her extraordinary painting skill was matched only by her incredible speed, creating numerous works in a short time.
